On my foodie trip to Toronto this past spring, I visited Queen Margherita Pizza at their Dundas Street location. Queen Margherita Pizza specializes in Neopolitan-style pizza made with Caputo Tipo 00 flour imported from Italy and baked in a 900° wood fired pizza oven made in Naples. Here’s a look at what we tried at our pizza dinner there.

QMP at Dundas is a spacious two-level eatery which is good for solo meals, intimate dates and group dining. The ground level is bright and airy while the basement level is more cozy with the dim lighting. The kitchen is located on the basement level with the 900° wood fired pizza oven.
And check out the wood fired oven in action:

Our three-course meal included a vibrant, fresh Caprese salad with bright flavours. It had Bufala Mozzarella, seasonal tomatoes, and basil. A delightful start to our meal at QMP.
Next up was the star of the meal, the Quattro Formaggi pizza with a delightfully light, thin and crispy crust.
To finish off, a home-style Chocolate Brownie with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Not overly decadent, moist yet dense. A nice finish to our pizza meal at QMP.
Overall Impression of Queen Margherita Pizza
My dinner at QMP was a no-frills experience from start to finish. I’d be interested in trying out their other pizzas on my next visit to Toronto. Rating: 4/5
