Pan-Asian eatery Torafuku launches a fall omakase just in time for Thanksgiving. The new offering is available starting October 6 for dine-in. 

For those looking for an alternative to turkey, this fall feast featuring options including Roast Duck, Steak Dianne or Steelhead Trout Papillote and an array of sides that nod to the traditional won’t disappoint.

Botanist at Fairmont Pacific Rim

Give thanks at Botanist this holiday with a three-course Thanksgiving brunch.

The experience begins with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a hand-crafted cocktail (spirit-free options available) from Head Bartender Jeff Savage, meant to sip while diving into autumn-themed dishes created by Chef Hector Laguna.

Choose from a variety of starters such as homemade burrata salad with salt roasted beets or hand-cut beef tartare with smoked egg yolk, followed by a selection of mains like the slow roasted turkey with roasted fall vegetables and traditional gravy or a carving of prime rib with pomme purée and horseradish cream.

Sun Sui Wah’s Thanksgiving menu for 10 features an 8-course meal with Fresh Clam & Mustard Green Tofu Soup, Rainbow Shredded Chicken with Preserved & Fresh Vegetables, Peking Duck 2-ways, the choice of Pan-Fried Fresh Lobster & Egg Noodles or Sautéed Fresh Crab with Vermicelli Hot Pot, Braised Morels with Abalone & Fish Maw, Spicy Fish Fillet with Sichuan Pepper Oil, Fried Rice with Scallop, and classic Cantonese-style dessert.

Maenam is offering a Turkey Tasting Menu features five flavourful dishes to share, each thoughtfully created to complement turkey as the showpiece ingredient.

This impressive limited-time family-style menu features Turkey Tom Kha coconut soup, Turkey Roulade with Gola curry, Brussels Sprouts Salad, Stir-fried Chanterelles, and Pumpkin Mor Kaeng Custard with cranberry compote.

Maenam is offering a Turkey Tasting Menu features five flavourful dishes to share, each thoughtfully created to complement turkey as the showpiece ingredient.

This impressive limited-time family-style menu features Turkey Tom Kha coconut soup, Turkey Roulade with Gola curry, Brussels Sprouts Salad, Stir-fried Chanterelles, and Pumpkin Mor Kaeng Custard with cranberry compote.

The takeout set serves two to three people and is $125.

So many people have experienced the last-minute Thanksgiving dash to the grocery store for a whole rotisserie bird.

This year, you can plan ahead and elevate this nostalgic tradition by preordering Freebird at Home by Maenam.

Freebird’s Fall Feast includes a whole Asian-style salt-cured Roast Chicken, Crispy Sticky Rice made with chicken drippings and other delicious fixins, and Pumpkin Mor Kaeng Custard with cranberry compote for dessert.

Rosie’s BBQ & Smokehouse and Strange Fellows Brewing are teaming up to put a southern spin on turkey weekend with a two-day Turkey Tailgate celebration on October 9 and October 10 to be held at Strange Fellows Brewing in East Vancouver.

On Saturday, October 9, Rosie’s will warm up the weekend by serving Turducken sandwiches and, on Sunday, October 10, the Tailgate will climax with an all-day turkey fry where the BBQ experts will turn their hands to deep frying local turkeys to be taken home and enjoyed with friends and family.

Both Turducken and the tradition of deep-frying turkey date back to the 1970s and a boom in interest in Southern and Cajun cooking.
