Dine Around and Stay in Town Victoria 2019: Restaurant Preview Roundup

Victoria’s most anticipated annual foodie event, Dine Around and Stay in Town is on now until February 10, 2019. Over 50 local restaurants are offering set-price, three-course menus while Victoria’s hotels are also joining in the fun and offering accommodations at reduced prices. I had the opportunity to preview the menus at 6 participating restaurants. Here’s a look at all the deliciousness is happening.

Spinnakers Gastro Brewpub and Guesthouses

Spinnakers is the only restaurant to offer a breakfast Dine Around menu ($20). Also available is a $30 lunch/dinner menu and a $40 dinner menu. During this local event, they will have select rooms available for as low as $109 a night.  Full recap here.

OLO Restaurant

At OLO, each dish celebrates life in BC. Executive Chef & Owner Brad Holmes believes in sustainable farming practices, seasonality and farm-fresh ingredients. For Dine Around 2019, OLO will be offering $40, $50 and $60 menus. Recap can be found here.

Q at the Empress @ Empress Hotel

During the Dine Around 2019, Victoria’s iconic hotel – the Fairmont Empress – is a place where you can stay in town and dine at the on-site restaurant, Q at The Empress.

For Dine Around 2019, Q is offering a $40 3-course dinner menu with optional wine pairings by Tinhorn Creek and beer pairings by Vancouver Island Brewing, Driftwood Brewery, Salt Spring Island Brewery, and Hoyne Brewing Co. Find out what’s in store here.

Fire & Water Fish and Chop House @ Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour

Located inside the AAA Four Diamond Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour, Fire & Water specializes in Pacific Northwest Cuisine with a focus on fresh, local seafood.

Fire & Water is offering a $40 3-Course dinner with Oceanwise, gluten-free and vegetarian options available. The courses also have recommended wine and beer pairings. Read more here.

Finn’s Harbourfront Restaurant and Oyster Bar

Located in an 1882 heritage building, Finn’s Harbourfront Restaurant and Oyster Bar is a restaurant with a focus on sustainably caught seafood, AAA steaks and chops cut in house, as well as a selection of fresh causal fare. They are offering a wonderful seafood-centric menu for $40. Full post can be found here.

10 Acres

Steps from Victoria’s Inner Harbour, 10 Acres Bistro + Bar offers a West Coast dining experience showcasing the freshest foods from Vancouver Island including seafood and cheese along with the finest seasonal produce, meats and eggs direct from their farm on the Saanich Peninsula. They are presenting a $30 menu for this year’s festival.
