This Canada Day long weekend, Water Street Cafe in Gastown is serving up an array of delicious dishes featuring Dungeness crab. Available until July 2, Water Street Cafe’s Crab Fest menu includes BC Dungeness Crab Bisque, West Coast Crab Cakes, Crab Benny, BC Crab Club Salad, and Surf & Surf. Yesterday, David (pickydiners.com) and I visited Water Street Cafe to try out some of the Crab Fest dishes.
Disclosure: All food and drinks in this post were complimentary. Opinions are my own.
We first tried the Crab Benny ($26) which had an English muffin topped with BC Dungeness crab, free-range eggs, crushed avocado, and house-made hollandaise sauce. Served with a side of potatoes. A comforting weekend brunch entree that was definitely satisfying.
We also had the Surf & Surf ($45) which featured BC Dungeness crab and halibut accompanied by herbed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, salsa verde, tomato pesto. A great selection of seafood and sides that can be enjoyed for lunch, brunch or dinner.
