Fairmont Pacific Rim

Fairmont Pacific Rim is offierng an exclusive Lunar New Year Dim Sum menu, courtesy of the renowned Chinese fine dining restaurant, Mott 32, available in the hotel’s The Lobby Lounge & RawBar from January 25 until February 25, 2024.

Mott 32, the award-winning international restaurant has designed a specially crafted Lunar New Year Dim Sum menu that inspires the senses. Guests can indulge in a delicious selection of steamed and baked dim sum, showcasing the finest ingredients and expert culinary techniques. The menu features an exquisite selection of traditional and signature dim sum creations, including dumplings, delicate steamed buns, and crispy spring rolls that pay homage to the rich culinary traditions of Chinese cuisine. The pièce de résistance dish is the Signature Applewood Peking Duck, expertly prepared to perfection, served with crêpes, hoisin and cucumber. Guests can also enjoy a Lunar New Year-inspired cocktail menu which also features a selection of expertly crafted spirit-free libations.

Celebrating the Year of the Dragon, a symbol of power, honor, luck and success, Fairmont Pacific Rim and Oakridge Park will transform the hotel into a dazzling exhibition with themed décor spanning from the lobby to The Pacific Gallery on the second floor landing. The gallery will also feature a self-serve Lunar New Year portrait studio, creating an ambiance that resonates with the festive energy of the New Year, and a photographer that will be in-house for complimentary appointments every Friday to Sunday throughout the festival. Additional family-focused programming will also be available daily in the Oakridge Park Gallery, located in Rogers Tower, directly across from the hotel’s main entrance.

Mott32 Vancouver

Mott 32 Vancouver will present a limited-time Lunar New Year special menu — a collaboration between Mott 32 Group Executive Chef Lee Man Sing and Head Chef He Hong Wei of the Vancouver location. Thoughtfully curated to commemorate the auspicious year ahead, the exquisite menu features dishes that represent the traditional blessings of the Lunar New Year.

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver will introduce Lunar New Year at the Castle, with the return of Notch8’s immersive Themed Afternoon Tea and the debut of an evening lounge concept, Moonlight Lounge, inspired by The Year of the Dragon.

With the room design by Koncept Designs, the salon has been brought to life as a sensory setting and the backdrop for a fully immersive experience from day to night. Notch8 Executive Chef Danai Hongwanishkuhl’s Lunar New Year Afternoon Tea menu will be available for $69.00 per person ($34.50 for children 12 and under), and begins with a selection of LOT 35 Tea and specialty teas for the occasion, along with sweet and savoury bites such as Chilled Char Siu Pork Belly with apple and pork floss, Duck Confit with scallion pancake and apricot “duck sauce”, Shrimp + Egg Tart with nappa and mala chili oil, Curry Puff with chickpea keema, Dragon Ball Cream Puff, Black Sesame Macaron, Opera Cake with matcha and red bean paste, a special red envelope with chocolate coins, and more.

Mosaic Grille is offering a Chinese New Year 2024 Lunch Buffet on Saturday, February 10th from 11:30 AM – 13:30 PM last seating. Adult $82 ㅣ Senior $62 ㅣ Child (under 12) $38.

To celebrate Lunar New Year, BC Kitchen will be featuring a special Lunar New Year menu which includes Lunar New Year Combo (wonton noodle soup, vegetable spring roll) for $18.88 and Dragon’s Claw (black cherry vodka, Shorthouse lychee, pineapple and soda) for $10. This is available for the entire month of February.

B House – Richmond location

B House in Richmond is welcoming Lunar New Year with a Lobster Fest for the month of February. Here are the feature items:

  • Lobster Avocado Sandwich (lobster meat with dill mustard, avocado, grilled pineapple, jalapeño, green onion, grilled corn, butter croissant bun and fries) – $28.99
  • Surf and Turf with grilled 6oz AAA Top Sirloin, butter roasted lobster tail, cheesy mashed potato, seasonal vegetable, red wine peppercorn sauce 0 $44.99
  • Lobster and Jumbo Shrimp Ravioli with mushroom filling ravioli, lobster meat, wild jumbo shrimp, rocket salad, creamy lobster bisque sauce, fresh herbs, basil oil and parmesan crisp – $35.99

The Victor

The bar team at The Victor has been busy creating unique cocktails for Lunar New Year, they will be featuring 4 different cocktails for the Year of the Dragon, the cocktails are available at both D6 and The Victor during the month of February.

Glowbal Restaurant 

Enjoy a special cocktail for the month of February to celebrate Lunar New Year with Glowbal Dragon (Red Star Er Guo Tou Baijiu, dragon fruit infusion, Junmai Taru Sake, yuzu, lychee liquor chilled with Jetchill dry ice system).

CoCo Tea YVR

Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with CoCo Tea YVR and indulge in the Lunar New Year festivities. From February 8 to February 15, 2024, all CoCo Tea YVR locations in Richmond and Surrey are embracing the tradition of giving Lucky Red Packets.

The tradition of red packets, typically consisting of a red envelope containing money or a valuable item, symbolizes the wish to convey a year filled with good fortune and blessings during the Lunar/Chinese New Year. CoCo Tea YVR extends an invitation to join the celebrations at each participating location, offering red packets to customers who purchase two large cups of any drinks from February 8 to February 15, 2024. The red packets will include coupons of $5 discount or 50%-off-on-2nd-Drink. 

Honey Salt

Honey Salt will be featuring a special Lunar New Year cocktail to welcome the Year of Drago – enjoy Dragon 6 (Empress Gin, Cointreau, Blood Orange Syrup, Pear Syrup, Lemon Juice and Egg White) for $18. This is also available for the month of February. 

Foo Hung Curios

Strathcona-based chocolate company Hype Chocolate announced the launch of a limited edition chocolate bar series in support of Foo Hung Curios and the Vancouver Chinatown Foundation.

Inspired by the stories of Chinatown and Foo Hung Curios’ mission to showcase local artists and celebrate the Asian Canadian experience, the chocolate series includes three unique bars featuring iconic Chinese Canadian flavours familiar to many Vancouverites, including:

  • White Chocolate Gold Mountain Tea (Earl Grey and Jasmine blend)
  • Milk Chocolate White Rabbit (with freeze-dried white rabbit candies)
  • Dark Chocolate Orange Fortune Cookie

Parq Vancouver 

Celebrate the Year of Dragon at Parq Vancouver by entering a chance to win $888,888 – anyone can enter. A player must earn ballots for the daily 9pm draw. 100 points gets you 1 ballot, and you can only earn 5 ballots max per day. Also, a special appearance from God of Fortune from 6PM to 8PM and a special live dragon dance at 8PM!  Saturday, February 10th.
