Waffle Time in Downtown Vancouver

A few months ago, I visited Waffle Time on Hornby, which is the sister restaurant of Waffle Bant on Robson. They serve both savoury and sweet dessert waffles as well as ice cream.

What I Tried

I ordered a bubble waffle ($4 plus tax) and it took about 15 minutes for it to be prepared. It was a one-man operation and I could tell by the looks on other customers waiting that service was very slow. While I was waiting, he offered me a sample of a new flavour he was experimenting with. The name of the flavour has elapsed me, but I can tell you the waffle texture was soggy and rather unappetizing.

The bubble waffle that I received was not as good as the one from the Bubble Waffle Cafe. It was nice and crispy on the outside, but slightly undercook on the inside.

Overall Impression of Waffle Time

I probably will not revisit Waffle Time again in the future. I’d recommend visiting the BBT Shop for a delicious bubble waffle in Downtown Vancouver. Rating: 2/5
