Tim Hortons taps gaming streamers for Camp Day fundraising initiative

Tim Hortons Camp Day – the annual fundraiser for Tim Hortons Foundation Camps – is back on July 13.

And this year, the celebration will extend beyond Tims 4,000 physical restaurants.

With the help of three of Canada’s top video gamers, the QSR is taking Camp Day into the gaming community by hosting its first Twitch livestream fundraiser.

Starting at 2 p.m. EST on July 13, Canadian video gamers and FaZe Clan members FaZe Replays and FaZe Proze along with Thiefs will burn virtual campfires in their favourite game.

For as long as the stream runs, the participating gamers will donate any “Bits” they earn to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps in Canada, with 100% of the proceeds going towards sending more youth to camp.

They will also donation match the dollar amount generated during the stream.

“Campfires are a place for healing, and a place to gain strength,” said FaZe Replays, one of the three participating gamers. “And that’s what Tims Camps offer to Canadian youth, through their amazing leadership development program that empowers young people. I’m incredibly proud to be involved in this year’s campaign.”

Tims Camps are camp-based programs that give youth aged 12-16 from underserved communities the opportunity to build confidence, resilience and skills to reach their full potential.

On Camp Day, 100% of Tim Hortons hot and iced coffee proceeds, along with net sales of Camp Day bracelets and socks, support sending youth to Tims Camps across North America.
