Negroni Week takes place June 24 – 30 this year and it’s a week dedicated to celebrating a delicious cocktail while raising money for charities around the world. Here are some restaurants in Vancouver that are offering their own signature libations to mark the occasion.
BOULEVARD KITCHEN & OYSTER BAR: The Classic Negroni, The Orchid Negroni, The Streets Have No Name
Made with ume plum wine, The Orchid adds a sweet-and-sour twist to the classic Negroni recipe. The Orchid will be available for one week only along with the Classic Negroni. A portion of the proceeds will be going to C.O.R.E. (Children of Restaurant Employees).
TUC CRAFT KITCHEN: Bitter Fruit, Smoky Señorita and the Paris Block Negroni
This Gastown restaurant will be offering three different libations to celebrate the occasion. The Paris Block Negroni is a menu mainstay, but the Bitter Fruit and Smoky Señorita will be offered for one week only. A portion of the proceeds from all three cocktails will be going to Water for People.
WILDEBEEST: Apex Negroni, ‘Off the Beeten Path’
Exclusively for Negroni Week, Bar Manager Alex Black will be offering two unique twists to the classic Negroni. The Apex creates a house blend of both gin and vermouth whereas Off the Beeten Path offers a different approach to creating a classic Italian Style aperitif cocktail inspired by the Negroni. Partial proceeds from sales will be donated to WE Charity.
JUKE FRIED CHICKEN: Classic Negroni and the Tokyo Bicycle
This year, Juke will be offering two different cocktail to mark the occasion, their classic Negroni and the Tokyo Bicycle (Campari, Lillet, Elderflower, Lavender, Soda). A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Lamda Legal.
DI BEPPE: Classic Negroni – bottled!
Di Beppe will be offering their classic bottled Negroni for the occasion with partial proceeds going to the BC Hospitality Foundation.
POURHOUSE: Classic Negroni
A beautifully crafted Negroni from the ever popular Gastown enclave will be poured all week with proceeds going to the BC Hospitality Foundation.
Bells and Whistles: Classic Negroni
This Fraserhood watering hole will be serving the Classic Negroni to mark the occasion with proceeds going to WE Charity.
ASK FOR LUIGI: Classic Negroni
This Italian favourite is offering a classic Negroni for the week with a portion of the proceeds going to the BC Hospitality Foundation.
H Tasting Lounge: Peace Prize Negroni, Red Negroni, Yellow Negroni
H Tasting Lounge is presenting three premium negronis in support of No Kid Hungry. Sip on HTL’s signature Peace Prize negroni, crafted with rye, sweet vermouth, black tea, bitters, and topped with gold cherries; take a walk on the bittersweet side with a red negroni mixed with gin, campari, sweet vermouth, and angostura; stay golden with the yellow negroni made with gin, suze, and lillet blanc; or, have a flight to sample all three.
