Lufthansa Group Launches Personalized Culinary Journey Menu

Lufthansa Group has introduced Culinary Journey, a new digital menu and pre-order platform designed to simplify and personalize inflight dining across Lufthansa, SWISS, and Austrian Airlines. The service is available in all travel classes and for both short- and long-haul flights.

The platform consolidates food and beverage options into one convenient digital space, giving travellers full visibility of their inflight choices before departure. Guests can browse menus, pre-order meals, and share feedback, creating a seamless experience that continues across multiple airlines within the Lufthansa Group on the same itinerary.

Through the app, website, or a pre-departure email link, each passenger receives a tailored menu based on their flight details. Whether selecting a sandwich on a short European route or a gourmet meal in Business or First Class, the system ensures that travellers receive their preferred dishes.

Passengers with connecting flights benefit most from the integration. For instance, a traveller flying with Austrian Airlines from Vienna to Frankfurt, then with Lufthansa to New York, can review and order all meals for both segments at once through Culinary Journey.

The platform offers more variety, especially on long-haul flights where passengers can choose from up to nine main courses, including exclusive options available only to Culinary Journey users. On shorter routes, guests can pre-order from a menu of buy-on-board items such as sandwiches, salads, and desserts while receiving a 10 percent discount.

By enabling pre-orders, the Lufthansa Group improves catering efficiency and reduces food waste while giving passengers greater control over their inflight dining. The service also invites guests to provide direct feedback, helping refine future menu development and further personalize the onboard experience.

With Culinary Journey, the Lufthansa Group extends their premium service philosophy beyond the cabin, offering a more consistent and enjoyable dining experience across their global network.
