Honda Celebration of Light 2019 takes place for three nights this year as three countries light up the shores of English Bay each night in a fireworks competition. The dates and competing countries for 2019 are: July 27 (India), July 31 (Canada) and August 3 (Croatia).
Food Trucks
This year, there will be up to 40 food vendors throughout English Bay, Vanier Park, and Second Beach. The best of Vancouver’s food truck scene will be lined up along Beach Avenue including Bandidas, Chick Pea, Shameless Buns, Triple O’s, and Rocky Point Ice Cream.
The Keg Lounge
The Keg Lounge, located on the Bathhouse Roof in English Bay, is once again offering a luxurious VIP experience. Take in all that the event has to offer such as phenomenal live entertainment, brought to you by Z95.3, featuring local and emerging talent while dining under the stars.
The newly designed layout will give guests a more interactive experience while still providing unobstructed views of the fireworks. Tickets include live music + fireworks soundtrack simulcast; 2 complimentary drinks and access to a private bar; complimentary hors d’oeuvres and grill station; and VIP washroom facilities. Tickets are $159 – $199.
Concord Lounge
With the closest water view of the fireworks, the Concord Lounge at the Inukshuk in English Bay is the place to be if you’re in the mood for great energy, live music, a fresh summer menu featuring country themed options and locally sourced ingredients.
Features of the Lounge include guaranteed seating, musical simulcast of the fireworks soundtrack, cash bar service, and private washroom facilities. Tickets are $169 – $209.
YVR Observation Deck
Located just left of the Bathhouse Roof at English Bay, you can’t miss this cascading beach-side venue, opening at 6:30 pm nightly. The observation deck is the perfect location for families or groups to come together and enjoy guaranteed and comfortable (sand-free) seating with premium views of the fireworks. Tickets are $44 – $49.

The Honda Celebration of Light is B.C.’s largest public event and the longest-running offshore fireworks competition in the world. It attracts up to 400,000 spectators along the shores of English Bay each night.
Owned by the volunteer, not-for-profit Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society, 2019 represents the 29th consecutive year of the event, which contributes over $174 million in incremental tourism and hospitality spending each year.
