The annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie 2022 campaign is on Sept. 19 through Sept. 25 when 100 per cent of the proceeds from sales of Smile Cookies will support 665 charities and community groups across Canada.

Joining Team Timmies this year to help encourage Canadians to support charities in their local communities are two of Canada’s most decorated Olympians and World Champions, Penny Oleksiak and Marie-Philip Poulin.

The first Smile Cookie campaign was launched in 1996, originally raising funds for Hamilton Children’s Hospital.

Since then, the annual charitable campaign has raised a total of more than $77 million for charities and organizations selected every year by Tim Hortons restaurant owners.

Recipients include local hospitals, community care organizations, food banks and schools.

Smile Cookie has raised over $77 million across North America since 1996 and last year alone raised a record $12 million.

Ryan DiTommaso’s Dunnville, Ont. Tim Hortons restaurant sold the most Smile Cookies in Canada last year — an amazing feat considering Dunnville has a population of only about 6,000 people. His team sold over 48,000 hand-decorated Smile Cookies, which is roughly eight cookies for every resident in Dunnville.

Can I order a large amount of Smile Cookies?

Yes, you can download the pre-order form on this website and submit it to a restaurant near you at least 24 hours prior to pick-up.

Is the Smile Cookie eligible to redeem as part of Tims Rewards?

No, the Smile Cookie program is designed to help local charities.

From September 19-25, Tims Rewards can be redeemed for a free coffee, tea or select baked goods such as a donut or a muffin. The option to redeem points for a cookie is unavailable.
