Starbucks Chicken Wrap Protein Box [Review]

When I visited the newly opened Starbucks in Blaine this past summer, I picked up a Starbucks Chicken Wrap Protein Box to try. Starbucks had launched these healthy, grab-and-go lunch boxes which have added protein, fruits and vegetables about a year earlier.

Starbucks Chicken Wrap Protein Box Description

According to the company, the wrap features antibiotic-free grilled chicken breast tossed in a savory peanut-coconut sauce, topped with a lively chile-lime veggie slaw, red bell peppers, lettuce, ginger cream cheese and wrapped in a chile tortilla. On the side is an extra serving of peanut-coconut sauce and slices of cucumbers and apples.

Starbucks Chicken Wrap Protein Box Taste Test

In general, I found the contents of the protein box quite cold. In fact, I found some icy bits on the apple slices.

The chicken in the wrap was fairly tender, but I found the wrap itself to be rather bland. I really needed to dip the wrap into the extra serving of peanut-coconut sauce for some flavour. The sauce was pretty creamy and tangy and had more of a peanut taste than coconut.

The ginger in the ginger cream cheese evaded me, but I did detect it by the creamy texture.

I found the fruits and vegetables in the box to be reasonably crisp for a pre-packaged product.

Overall Impression of Starbucks Chicken Wrap Protein Box

The Starbucks Chicken Wrap Protein Box was below average for me because I really needed to dip the wrap into the extra sauce for flavour. I would rather get their single wraps than the protein box. Rating: 2.5/5
