National Caviar Day 2022 NYC Restaurant Features

With National Caviar Day happening on July 18, here are a few places in NYC where you can celebrate.

The Oval

The Oval, a 30-seat Chef’s tasting counter nestled in La Devozione at Chelsea Market, was conceptualized by Giuseppe Di Martinothird generation Owner of renowned Pastificio Di Martino to take diners on a culinary journey for the best use of the Di Martino’s varied pasta shapes with imported and local seasonal ingredients.

Featured on their 7-course tasting menu is the Marco Polo, linguine cooked in water and oolong black tea with garlic milk foam whisked in and topped with a generous dollop of Ossetra Caviar.

Mollusca

Mollusca is a spirited and sophisticated global seafood restaurant with Italian influence in the Meatpacking District.

The restaurant’s menu was designed by Executive Chef Gianmaria Sapia and features extensive raw bar selections, an Italian-inspired pasta and risotto course, seafood-centric main courses.

Caviar makes frequent appearances on the menu including in Double Tartare, tuna and salmon tarte neatly divided by a line of Pearl Street Siberian Select Caviar, with nori rice chips; Il Grande Raviolo, a large raviolo stuffed with herb ricotta and egg yolk, topped with Pearl Street Ossetra Caviar and freshly shaved truffle; and the Mollusca Signature Oyster with Black Caviar, fresh uni, and mignonette sauce.

Jungsik

Jungsik is the highly acclaimed two-starred Michelin restaurant from world renowned Chef Jung Sik Yim was first to introduce New Korean cuisine to New York.

The signature tasting menu from Executive Chef Daeik Kim features caviar in the first course Carabinero Prawn with Caviar, served with smoked carabinero head sauce, anise hyssop oil, anise hyssop, and Ossetra Caviar.

The dish is also available a la carte at the restaurant’s newly re-opened bar for $60.

noreetuhthe Michelin-recognized modern Hawaiian restaurant with influences from Asia and the Pacific Rim offers a variety of carefully organized plates.

The menu was designed by Executive Chef-Partner Chung Chow (Per Se, Lincoln Restaurant), a native Hawaiian and does not include any of tiki kitsch.

Guests have the option to add a 15-gram supplement of Golden Ossetra Caviar to any musubi for $25, or a 50-gram supplement to accompany their meal for $75.
