McDonald’s Canada Celebrates Teachers with Free Coffee on October 5

October 5th is World Teachers’ Day! McDonald’s Canada is thanking all teachers and educations support staff by giving them free medium Premium Roast McCafé coffee or tea (in-person or drive-thru, not valid with kiosk, mobile orders or delivery) at participating restaurant across the country.

The nationwide initiative forms part of McDonald’s ongoing commitment to its communities by acknowledging that teachers and education support staff have worked tirelessly to create a welcoming environment for students during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Canadians can also thank teachers and education support staff by using a special “Thank You’ McCafé” Instagram sticker. Just search for “Thank You’ McCafé” under gifs in Instagram.

Throughout COVID-19, McDonald’s, together with its franchisees and suppliers, has continued to support its communities with other initiatives, including the donation of more than 325,000 pounds of food to charities and food banks, and over 2.7 million free coffees to frontline workers.

In May, McDonald’s also donated $1.1M to the Canadian Red Cross through a portion of the proceeds of every sale of fries.
