Machi Machi Richmond location is now open! This is the second location of the Jay Chou-endorsed bubble tea brand which opened up their first location in Metro Vancouver on Robson Street last month.
While Mandopop star Jay Chou is not an owner of the brand, the brand is apparently named after a pet Pomeranian belonging to Jay’s wife Hannah Quinlivan. Notice the brand’s logo which looks like a small dog?
The brand was also featured in Jay Chou’s music video “說好不哭 Won’t Cry” where the female protagonist works at Machi Machi.

Machi Machi is best known for their Cream Foam series featuring cream cheese top.
Other drinks on the menu include Freshly Pressed Original Tea; Milk Tea & Latte; and Fresh Fruits & Fizzy Tea.

Grand Opening Special
From April 30 – May 2, the first 50 customers of each day will each get a free Machi branded tote bag (random pick of either style), and the first 51st to 100th customers will each get a free Machi cup bag.
I had a sneak peak of the new store and tried their Mochi Red Bean Matcha Smoothie and Matcha Panna Cotta.
