Chop Steakhouse is celebrating the days of summer with the return of the Lobster Grill menu available until August 27.
Diners can indulge in a decadent Atlantic lobster meal featuring dishes like Lobster Chowder with sweet summer corn, lobster, shrimp, and scallops in a creamy broth; the Lobster Caesar Salad, ideal for a lighter dinner or lunch; and the classic Steak and Half Lobster Combo with top sirloin and a half lobster brushed with garlic butter.
I recently enjoyed a media tasting of the Lobster Grill at the Richmond location of Chop Steakhouse. Here’s a look at my experience.
We tried the Chef’s Cut Rib Eye ($39.95) – a new addition to this year’s Lobster Grill menu – which is a special steak brought in just to pair with a petite lobster tail.
The Disco Fries ($14.95) is also new and features spicy Old Bay fries topped with lobster cheese sauce, chowder, and crispy bacon.
A favourite is the Whole Lobster ($54.95) served with drawn butter and fresh seasonal vegetables. We enjoyed the dish with scallop truffle tomatoes.
We deshelled the lobster ourselves to get every ounce of meat possible and enjoyed the succulent, tasty flesh!

The Richmond location recently refreshed the look of their dining room featuring modern, plush velvet banquettes and conversation-starter art pieces.
I very much enjoyed the Lobster Grill experience and enjoyed the dishes that we tried. I definitely recommend the Whole Lobster for a full, hands-on experience, but the Chef’s Cut Rib Eye & Petite Lobster Tail was also a good surf-and-turf option.
