Joe Fortes Launches New Happy Hour Menu [March 2020]

Joe Fortes has just launched a new Happy Hour menu that you’ll want to try.

New items on the Happy Hour menu include Albacore Tuna Sliders and Joe’s Chilled Seafood Platter. You’ll also find classics like the Mini Shrimp & Lobster Rolls, Jumbo Tempura Prawns and more. Wine $1 by the ounce.

Available at the bar Monday – Friday 3 pm – 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday 4 pm – 6 pm, and 7 days a week 9 pm – 11 pm.

For your reference, here are the portions of each dish on the Happy Hour Menu.

• Ahi Poke Tacos x 2
• Mini Shrimp & Lobster Rolls x 2

• Jumbo Tempura Prawns x 3

I was invited to a media preview of the Happy Hour menu. Here’s a look at what you can expect.

Joe’s Chilled Seafood Platter

Priced at $36.95 per tier, this platter includes local oysters, marinate mussels and clams, prawns, albacore tuna crudo, scallop ceviche, and ahi tuna poke.

Albacore Tuna Sliders

These new items feature a grilled tuna patty and it was delicious!

Mini Shrimp & Lobster Rolls

You cannot go wrong with this Joe Fortes classic. Melt-in-your-mouth, buttery and oh-so-good.

Ahi Poke Tacos

I enjoyed the fresh cubes of ahi tuna with aioli and guacamole in a crisp taco shell.

Oysters Rockefeller

The buttery Oysters Rockefeller were rich in flavour.

Crispy Calamari

The calamari was wonderfully crispy on the outside. It’s a great shareable but I honestly would just want one order for myself.

Crab & Corn Fritters

One of my favourites on the Happy Hour menu, these crab and corn fritters were wonderfully moist and meaty on the inside.

Truffle Parmesan Fries

These golden, crispy, cheesy fries had the right subtle hint of earthy truffle.

Everything was very good overall, but my personal favourites were the Chilled Seafood Platter; Ahi Poke Tacos; Mini Shrimp & Lobster Rolls; Crab & Corn Fitters; Albacore Tuna Sliders; and Crispy Calamari.
