Honolulu Cafe Happy Hour: Every Friday From 3 pm – 7 pm

There’s a new place for Happy Hour bites and snacks in Vancouver. Say Aloha to Honolulu Cafe’s “Pa’u Hana” (Happy Hour) which runs every Friday at its Downtown location (888 Nelson Street) from 3 pm – 7 pm. Live music takes place 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Disclosure: I attended a media event of Honolulu Cafe’s Happy Hour.

A common phrase on the Hawaiian Islands meaning “end of the workday’, “Pa’u Hana” refers to the practice of leaving work early on Fridays to start to weekend.

Each Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., visitors can kick off the weekend by enjoying Honolulu Coffee’s island-inspired bar snacks at half price such as: mixed bar nuts, $3.5; açaí bowls, $4.25; edamame coconut hummus, $4.75; lilikoi pineapple meatballs, $6; and teriyaki sliders, $7.5.

Early weekend warriors can also wash down the work week with 12-ounce pints of Bikini Blonde lagerBig Swell IPAPineapple Mana wheat or Coconut Hiwa porter from Maui Brewing Company available for $5 each.
