Offered from 5 pm – 6 pm daily at $49/person, guests can enjoy the high-quality cuisine, efficient service and excellent value of a 3-course dinner at one of the top restaurants in the city and in Canada.
The Express Menu is designed so that guests can be in and out of the restaurant within 90 minutes before they head their way for a night on the town.
Chef de Cuisine, Antonio Sotomayor, presents the menu in signature Hawksworth-style with seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients. Guests have a choice of two starters, two main courses, and a dessert.
Guests can also enjoy wine pairings with the dinner (+$25/person). Hawksworth’s extensive wine selection is curated by Wine Director, Bryant Mao, one of Canada’s top sommeliers as recognized in Canada’s 100 Best 2019. Seasonally-inspired cocktails are also recommended.
Disclosure: I was invited to Hawksworth Restaurant to try the Express Dinner menu.
To start, a choice between a Crispy Suckling Pig with sweet and sour dressing and lemon kimchi; or Compressed Melon with smoked goat’s cheese, mint, arugula.
The two main course offerings are: Pacific Cod Ravioli with lemon foam and crispy capers; or a vegetable-driven Cauliflower and Spring Pea Risotto featuring pickled radishes and mushroom xo vinaigrette.
To finish off a fantastic meal, there is the refreshing Meyer Lemon Custard and raspberry textures.
I was able to look into the restaurant kitchen where all the magic happens.
I very much enjoyed the Express Dinner menu at Hawksworth restaurant which presented high-quality dishes in a friendly and efficient manner. All the dishes were delicious but my ideal 3-course would be the Compressed Melon, Cauliflower Risotto and Meyer Lemon Custard.
