It’s #ThrowbackThursday and today I wanted to share one of my

The afternoon tea takes place at the Lakeview Lounge where guests can enjoy spectacular views of Lake Louise and the Victoria Glacier. The tall ceilings and bright windows made for a grandiose ambiance.
I booked for a seating at 12:00 pm when the afternoon tea is open so that we could sit at a table by the window.
The afternoon tea was priced at $55 per person. They offer a children’s version priced at $22 per child.
We started off with selecting our teas. I went with the Liza Hill Darjeeling – a black tea with hints of currant creating an almost wine-like taste. My husband had a Creamy Earl Grey.
To start, we had a palate cleanser featuring alpine whipped cream topped with blueberries, blackberries and strawberries.
Our three tier afternoon tea incorporated two afternoon tea sets and one children’s afternoon tea set for my son.
We enjoyed deliciously light and fluffy buttermilk scones with devonshire style cream, house preserve and lemond curd.
The delectable assortment of finger sandwiches included Mini Lobster Croissant; Smoked Salmon Roulade with caviar; Piquillo Hens Egg Brioche; Lemon Thyme, Cucumber, Cream Cheese; and Coronation Chicken.
My son’s afternoon tea set included Egg salad on a petite croissant; Black Forest Ham & Cheese on Whole Wheat; and Peanut Butter and Jam on White Bread.
The sweets portion of the afternoon consisted of an AYCE dessert buffet featuring Raspberry Mousse Tarts, Berry Tarts, Coconut Mousse Cakes, Macarons, Bundt Cakes, and so forth.
Overall Impression
In all, I really enjoyed the traditional-style afternoon tea experience at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in terms of the quality of the food, variety, and service. While there are many Fairmont hotels where you can enjoy afternoon tea, there is only one where can enjoy such a spectacular view that is Lake Louise. Furthermore, at $55 per person, you might just find that this is priced more affordably than some of the other Fairmont hotel afternoon tea experiences in Canada. I would recommend this experience to others and would love to enjoy it again. Rating: 5/5
