Colony Main - Mount Pleasant

A new neighbourhood bar with a welcoming, comfortable vibe has opened its doors to Main Street locals. Located at 2904 Main Street, Colony Main offers a mouthwatering food menu, sports-viewing, comedy, trivia, and live music. Colony Main‘s fully stocked bar showcases 18 beers on rotating taps and daily $4.00-dollar beers. They also have a progressive craft beer program that focuses on local B.C. brewers and carefully selected brands from abroad.

Colony Main is Blueprint’s second Colony Bar – an expansion of their Kitsilano location. In a press release, Bill Kerasiotis, co-owner of Colony shares, “We’ve seen Colony become well-reputed as a welcoming, carefree place to kick back and relax with friends any day of the week, so in looking to open a new bar it was a concept we wanted to continue to grow.”

Colony Main Food Menu

I was invited to the Colony Main Street Launch event where attendees were introduced to some of Colony Main’s addictive food menu items.

One of the tasty starters that Colony Main offers is arancini: fried risotto balls with San Marzano Tomato Sauce, pesto oil, and shaved parmesan.

For the slider lover, they have pork belly sliders made with maple glased belly, paprika aioli, pickled red onion and pea shoots.

A delicious vegetarian option was the fig and boursin flatbread pizza. It is made with date paste, caramelized onions, smoked mozzarella, creamy boursin cheese, mission figs and truffle arugula. I loved all fresh everything tasted for this pizza.

The towering bbq onion ring burger was a magnificent and mouthwatering signature dish! It consists of a 7oz prime rib patty brushed with BBQ sauce, crisp onion rings, sliced pickles, lettuce, tomato and parmesan aioli on brioche bun. This burger is a definite two-hander!

The organic quinoa burger is one of Colony Main‘s signature vegetarian dishes. The patty is made with house made quinoa and goat cheese.

The stadium fries were a great indulgence and had lemon pepper and sticky garlic chunks. I loved that the fries were delightfully crispy and hot.

The Space

Colony Main‘s 2,000 square foot space has an unfinished yet casually charming look. The design including cinderblock walls, an original wood beam exposed ceiling, an iron bar and tables and leather finished furniture.
