I recently discovered CHAO + PAN, a Vancouver-based company founded and operated by a mother-daughter duo.
Their focus is on traditional and 100% authentic snacks and desserts influenced by their roots in Thailand/Laos. Their signature product, Pork Crisps, are carried at different retailers in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Right now, they’re offering a few treats which include Thai mango sticky rice dessert and beautiful Lotus Flower cookies (known as kan nom dok jok).

The deep-fried, thin and crispy beautiful Dok Jok cookies were lovely treats. They are currently available as pre-launch items without the official packaging at a discounted price of $8.50 for 5 cookies (versus $10 regular).

The Thai mango sticky rice dessert was nicely aromatic and had a nice soft, chewy rice along with sweet, buttery texture of fresh mango slices.
