Eataly Toronto Launches New La Piazza Concept

Eataly Toronto has launched La Piazza, a new dining concept at Eataly Yorkville with plans to expand to Eaton Centre and Sherway Gardens.

The new concept is inspired by the role of the Italian piazza as a gathering place for food, drinks, conversation, and daily rituals. At Eataly Toronto, La Piazza brings together aperitivo culture, Italian wines, cocktails, shared plates, and ingredients sourced through the Eataly marketplace.

The menu focuses on composed bites and shareable plates, with dishes connected to different areas of the marketplace. Guests can expect selections from the salumi and formaggi counter, seafood counter, butcher counter, mozzarella production area, in-house bakery, and seasonal produce program.

Menu highlights include four styles of Taglieri, featuring artisan meat and cheese boards, along with three ages of Prosciutto di Parma DOP and cheeses such as Gorgonzola Piccante and two-year-old cheddar from Cows Creamery in Prince Edward Island.

The mozzarella section includes Signature Housemade Mozzarella, Burrata, Treccia, and Bocconcini, along with three versions of Caprese.

Vegetable dishes include seasonal salads and plates such as Insalata Del Mercato and grilled asparagus with lemon aioli.

The bakery and market section features a bread cart service with Carrello Del Pane, along with seasonal bruschetta and Burro E Acciughe, made with housemade focaccia, whipped lemon butter, and anchovies.

From the butcher counter, guests can order dishes such as Piazza Burger with dry-aged beef and Carpaccio Di Manzo. Seafood options include raw oysters on the half shell, Fritto Misto Di Mare, and Crudo Di Tonno.

The beverage program includes Italian wines from different regions, rotating wine flights, rare bottles, and premium selections. The cocktail menu includes Italian classics such as Negroni, spritz variations, and build-your-own martini and gin and tonic programs.

La Piazza will also host recurring programming, including daily tastings, Prosecco toasts, Wine Wednesdays with half-price bottles, live music, DJ sets, ticketed pop-ups, and guest collaborations.

Eataly Toronto’s La Piazza is now open at Eataly Yorkville, with future locations planned for Eaton Centre and Sherway Gardens.
