Fairmont Hotel Vancouver Halloween Tea and Mystery Nights

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is offering two Halloween experiences this October, with Haunted Cellar Afternoon Tea continuing through November 1 and Castle Confidential returning on October 22 and 23. The seasonal program combines themed food and cocktails with an interactive mystery in the hotel’s 14th-floor Heritage Suites.

Haunted Cellar Afternoon Tea gives the hotel’s signature tea service a gothic setting, with Halloween-inspired names across the menu. The experience costs $75 per adult and $40 per child.

The food selection includes The Book of Shadows, featuring roast beef and caramelised onion, and Hocus Pocus, a croissant filled with smoked salmon, apple and pumpkin seeds. Halloweenie is a sausage roll served with beet ketchup.

The dessert assortment includes Sorcerer’s Cauldron, Black Widow, Moon Over the Castle, The Night Owl and Magic Amulet. Chocolate, raspberry, blood orange, blackberry, fig, honey and walnut flavours appear across the sweets.

Loose-leaf tea options include Pumpkin Spice and Apple Ginger Rooibos. Seasonal cocktails include the gin-based Wicked Forest and The Widow’s Walk, plus the espresso-based Pumpkin Spice Resurrection.

Through October 18, Thursday seatings are available at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with Friday through Sunday seatings at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. From October 21 to November 1, afternoon tea runs Wednesday through Sunday at all three seating times. Reservations are recommended and can be made through the afternoon tea booking page.

Castle Confidential brings guests into the hotel’s Heritage Suites for a 90-minute mystery experience created with Vancouver Mysteries. Participants move from room to room, meeting characters, finding clues and completing challenges. Each setting has a story and a corresponding themed drink.

The evening concludes with a reception featuring canapés, giving guests time to discuss the mystery after the interactive portion. Tickets are $160 per person for the October 22 and 23 events and are available through the Castle Confidential booking page.

The two experiences offer different ways to visit the hotel during Halloween season, from an afternoon tea service to an evening of puzzles, drinks and food in the heritage spaces.
