Prix-Fixe Brunch Experience
We visited The Village Pub for their prix-fixe brunch which was $75 per person at the time. There were a few add-ons as well to our meal.

Heirloom Tomato Salad
Featuring tomatoes from a variety of local farms; Ignalat burrata from Apulia, Italy; aged balsamic vinegar; castelvetrano olive oil from Sicily; basil, Maldon salt.
The balsamic vinegar was viscous and sweeter than most. This was prepared at tableside and was an add-on dish. The tomatoes they chose were very fresh, juicy and flavorful.

Just Baked Pastries
with sweet butter and jam

Organic Local Strawberries
with whipped Greek yogurt, marcona almonds.
The fruits they chose were just perfect ripeness, juicy and had a lot of flavor.

Sweet corn veloute
featuring lobster boudin blanc, smoked mussels, poached rock shrimp.
The soup was poured at tableside and if you look at the dish, the soup does not seep through the other ingredients, so they were perfectly placed (like a dam)!

Soft-scrambled eggs
with Camembert cream, brioche toast, estate caviar.
This dish was more like a classic breakfast entree (that is, eggs and toat) but elevated with caviar, of course.

Harvest Vegetable Buckwheat Tart
featuring wild mushroom duxelles (minced mushrooms with herbs and deglazed with wine); baby zucchini, artichokes a la barigoule (French braised artichokes with white wine).

Beignets
with crème anglaise, chocolate sauce.

Strawberry-lemon icebox cake
featuring strawberry champagne jam, feuilletine.

The prix-fixe brunch was $75 per person but with drinks, the auto-gratuity of 20%, and the add-ons it came out to be $263. Their drinks are a bit pricey $13 for each the mimosa and orange juice.
My favorite dishes were the Heirloom Tomato Salad with tableside preparation and the Sweet Corn Veloute. I enjoyed the blend of contemporary American cuisine with French techniques. The raw ingredients like the strawberries and tomatoes were just perfect and had a lot of flavor.
Other than that, the dishes were bright, beautifully prepared, fresh and delicious. Service was attentive. I would be interested to try their dinner service.

“The Village Pub” seems to be a bit of misnomer as the restaurant is much more formal and classy than a typical neighborhood pub.

We dined on their outdoor patio which was a lovely setting.
