Tartine Bakery Inner Sunset San Francisco [Review]

For over 20 years, founders Chad Robertson and Elisabeth Prueitt have baked Tartine’s fresh bread in a woodfired oven, using methods they learned abroad to craft elegant and authentic pastries. This bakery sources its flour, containing almost all of the original bran, germ, and oils, from local farmers – and the customers can genuinely taste the difference.

What We Tried

We got an Avocado Tartine with cashew salsa seca on country bread; an almond croissant; an apple tart; and a latte which were all delicious.

Interior & Vibe

In addition to Tartine’s incredible bread, pastries, and food items, the ambiance has been thoughtfully curated to feel trendy, hip, and urban. The interior is surrounded by massive windows, creating ample natural light enhanced by the cement floor and earthy materials throughout the space.

Overall Impression

If you’re a cafe enthusiast who loves a great atmosphere, Tartine is a must-visit while in San Francisco.

Tartine Inner Sunset is located at 1226 9th Ave, San Francisco, CA.
