Subway Canada is turning up the heat with a new limited-time Wannabe Spicy Menu, featuring three sandwiches served on new Ghost Pepper Bread.

The menu is available at participating restaurants nationwide and gives guests three spice levels to choose from: Mild, Wild, and Wicked. Each sandwich is built with familiar Subway ingredients, including Canadian farm-raised rotisserie chicken, Canadian pork, Canadian dairy, and sauces made to match different levels of heat.
New Wannabe Spicy Menu at Subway Canada
Mild Piri-Piri Ranch Chicken features Piri-Piri sauce over Canadian farm-raised Rotisserie Chicken, Cheddar Cheese, and Bacon made with Canadian Pork. The sandwich is finished with lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, red onion, and ranch sauce.
Wild Hot Honey Chicken combines Hot Honey Sauce made with Canadian honey, Canadian farm-raised Rotisserie Chicken, and Habanero Jack Cheese made with Canadian Dairy. Lettuce, spinach, cucumber, green pepper, red onion, and banana peppers add crunch and a sharper bite.
Wicked Nashville-Style Deli is the hottest option on the menu, with Nashville Hot Sauce over Black Forest Ham made with Canadian Pork, Pepperoni, Salami, and Habanero Jack Cheese made with Canadian dairy. It also includes lettuce, spinach, tomato, green pepper, red onion, banana peppers, garlic aioli, and house sandwich sauce.
Guests who prefer their regular Subway order can also switch to Ghost Pepper Bread for a limited time.
Ghost Pepper Bread Adds Heat to the Menu
The new Ghost Pepper Bread gives Subway guests another way to customize their sandwich. Rather than offering spice only through sauces or toppings, the bread adds heat directly into the base of the sandwich.
The Wannabe Spicy Menu is designed around choice, giving customers a way to select a spice level that matches their comfort level rather than ordering one standard spicy option.
Subway Canada Links Spice to Dating and Personality
To support the launch, Subway Canada partnered with Canadian-born relationship and intimacy expert Shan Boodram on a national survey about spice, dating, and self-expression.
The survey found that one in 10 Canadians have pretended to like spicy food on a date. Nearly half of respondents said liking spicy food may be linked to enjoying excitement in relationships. More than six in 10 Canadians said they adjust spice levels when sharing meals, often lowering the heat to match their significant other’s preference.
The campaign connects food choices with personality cues, using spice as a way to talk about comfort, excitement, and compromise.
Where to Order the Subway Wannabe Spicy Menu
