Starbucks Launches Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foam

Starbucks is expanding their beverage lineup this fall with Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foam arriving in U.S. and Canadian locations on September 29. These additions are designed to meet rising consumer demand for protein-rich options and reflect the company’s broader menu update strategy.

Starbucks Launches Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foam

Protein Cold Foam brings extra nutrition to iced beverages, adding about 15 grams of protein per grande. Customers can add it to cold coffee, tea, or Refreshers, creating a creamy texture with added flavour. Flavours include banana, vanilla, chocolate, matcha, salted caramel, and brown sugar, along with seasonal choices such as pumpkin and pecan. When paired with iced beverages on the permanent menu, Protein Cold Foam will deliver between 18 and 26 grams of protein per grande.

Made with Protein-boosted Milk, the new Protein Lattes provide 27 to 36 grams of protein per grande. The milk combines 2% dairy with unflavoured protein powder, blended fresh in store each day. The lattes retain the smooth texture and strong coffee flavour customers expect, and are available hot or iced, unsweetened, or sugar-free.

Customers will be able to request Protein-boosted Milk in other drinks such as Lattes, Iced Shaken Espresso, and Refreshers with Coconut. This substitution adds 12 to 16 grams of protein per grande without added sugar, artificial flavours, or dyes.

These new offerings continue Starbucks’ effort to modernize their menu with options that balance flavour and nutrition.
