One of the most highly anticipated food and drink events of the year is happening on February 6, 2020.
The Science of Cocktails signature fundraiser will transform Science World at TELUS World of Science into Vancouver’s largest laboratory, where the city’s most talented bartenders and chefs will showcase the science behind preparing modern cocktails and cuisine.
Ticket proceeds will support Science World’s Class Field Trips for underserved schools in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
Admission includes complimentary cocktails from 30+ bar stations run by award-winning bartenders, paired with food stations featuring molecular gastronomy from local talent.
Event attendees can anticipate cocktails & bites provided by participating bars and restaurants, such as: Parallel 49 Brewing, Phillips, Empress 1908, Merridale, Bacardi, Nutrl Vodka, The Botanist. Bao Down, Hapa Izakaya, Notch8, Showcase Restaurant & Bar, and Uva.
Attendees will also enjoy a variety of special cocktail science activities, hands-on science demonstrations and classic Science World fun.
Class Field Trips
All proceeds from the Science of Cocktails event support the Class Field Trip Bursary Program, allowing over 9,000 kids from underserved schools in British Columbia to visit Science World at TELUS World of Science.
The Field Trip Bursary program makes it possible for students to visit Science World in the next school year who otherwise might not have been able to visit.
Since its inception in 2016, over 23,000 students have participated in the program.
Entering its fifth year, Science of Cocktails has raised a total of $943,000 for this program and aims to add another $280,000 to that number with this year’s event, which would see the program surpass over $1million raised.
