McDonald’s Monopoly Canada 2024: Prizes, Pieces, Rules, Dates

McDonald’s Canada is running the Monopoly “Double Play” Game from October 1 – November 4, 2024. 2024 Monopoly Double Play offers a wide range of prizes, including over 16 million Instant Win Food Prizes, 4 million MyMcDonald’s Rewards Points prizes, and 1.5 million non-food prizes such as gift cards and game codes. There are also 77 high-value Collect to Win prizes, which include cars, vacations, and cash, along with nearly 3 million additional prizes available through the Double Play feature in the McDonald’s app. For those who don’t win instantly, there are 13 special draw prizes to be won, making this year’s Monopoly promotion a diverse and exciting opportunity for participants to win.

There are approximately 108,451,975 total Game Pieces, each containing 2 Game Stamps, distributed this year. The overall odds of winning a prize are approximately 1 in 5, based on the planned number of Game Pieces distributed.

The highest valued prizes in Monopoly Double Play include five 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV 3RS vehicles, each valued at $63,708, followed by six prizes of $50,000 Avion Points or Cash. There are also five $25,000 cash prizes and 25 Sunwing Vacations for Two worth $4,755 each.

No purchase of a McDonald’s food or other product is required to play and making a purchase will not increase or affect your chances of winning a prize.

Who Can Play

2024 Monopoly Double Play is open to all residents of Canada. To participate, you must be at least 14 years old for the Double Play feature in the McDonald’s app, while some prizes may require a parent or legal guardian to claim on behalf of minors.

How to Play Mcdonald’s Monopoly Canada 2024

To play the Game, you need to obtain a Game Piece, which consists of two Game Stamps. Each Game Stamp includes a unique 12-digit alphanumeric code, which you use in the McDonald’s app to claim a Prize and/or participate in the Double Play feature for another chance to win a Prize or to enter a Prize Draw.

There are three main ways to play and potentially win a prize:

1. Instant Win Game Stamps: Obtain a Game Piece with a Game Stamp that reveals an Instant Win Prize, such as food items, MyMcDonald’s Rewards Points, or non-food prizes like gift cards.
2. Collect to Win Game Stamps: Collect specific sets of Game Stamps to complete a Winning Combination as shown on the Game Board. Completing a set can win you high-value prizes like cars, vacations, or cash.
3. Double Play: Enter or scan the Game Code from any Game Stamp in the McDonald’s app for a chance to win additional prizes or to earn entries into Prize Draws. This feature allows for multiple opportunities to win, including cash prizes, food items, and special digital rewards.

There is no limit to the number of prizes you can win. You can obtain a Game Piece by either purchasing a specially-marked food or drink item at participating McDonald’s locations, or without purchase by submitting a mail-in request.

Specially-Marked Food and Drinks Menu

Each of the following specially marked food and beverage items on the McDonald’s Canada menu come with 1 Game Piece (2 Game Stamps). The exception is the 20-piece McNuggets which come with 2 Game Pieces (4 Game Stamps). Specially-marked packages for the menu items listed above are available during the hours when those items are served, while supplies last. The serving hours for specific menu items may vary at different participating McDonald’s locations across Canada. As the Game continues, certain specially-marked packages may run out before others and will not be restocked.

No purchase method

To obtain a Game Piece without making a purchase, participants must send a mail-in request. The request must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with the participant’s complete mailing address inside an outer envelope, also bearing the participant’s return address. The request should be sent to the specified address in the rules and postmarked between September 24, 2024, and November 4, 2024, to ensure timely processing. Each request will receive one Game Piece (containing two Game Stamps) while supplies last. Multiple requests must be mailed separately, with only one request per envelope.

Yes, you can order qualifying McDonald’s Monopoly menu items via Uber Eats, DoorDash or Skip The Dishes. Be sure to check the section above on which qualifying items have Game Pieces.

How to Get a McDonald’s Monopoly Game Board

To get a McDonald’s Monopoly Game Board for the 2024 Double Play Game, you have several options:

• In-Restaurant: Visit a participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada and pick up a game board, available while supplies last.
• Online: Download and print the game board from the McDonald’s Monopoly promotion website (mcdpromotion.ca) or by accessing the promotional banner in the McDonald’s app.
• Mail Request: In some cases, McDonald’s may provide game boards via direct mail or through newspaper inserts during the promotion period.

No game board is required to play the game, as Game Pieces and codes can be used independently to participate and claim prizes.

If you’re serious about winning, here’s my tip to maximize your chances without breaking the bank: get the most Game Pieces for the least amount of money!

Earlier in this post, I shared the full list of eligible McDonald’s Monopoly menu items. The most affordable options that come with Game Pieces would probably be Hash Brown, Medium Premium Roast Brewed Coffee, or Medium Tea (prices vary by location). For example, I once ordered 10 Hash Browns through Uber Eats and received 20 Game Stamps, two of which were instant wins for a Small Hot McCafé Beverage!

How to Redeem a Prize

Food Prize: Claims for a McDonald’s Monopoly Canada 2024 Food Prize must be made at a participating McDonald’s restaurant in Canada by 11:59 p.m. on November 25, 2024.

Double Play Food Prize: When you win a Food Prize through Double Play, it will be added to the Rewards & Offers section of your McD’s app account within 24 hours and can be used for McDelivery orders. These Food Prizes expire at 11:59 p.m. on November 25, 2024.

Non-Food Prizes: Claims for Non-Food Prizes must be completed at the Online Redemption Site or by calling the toll-free number (if applicable) by 11:59 p.m. on November 25, 2024.

Keep your Game Stamps, as they are required to claim your prize. All prizes are subject to verification and the winner’s compliance with the Official Rules.

McDonald’s Monopoly Canada 2024 Official Rules

These Official Rules will be available at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Canada until December 31, 2024, and online at www.mcdpromotion.ca until 11:59:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2024.
