Ketchy Beach, a new concept from restaurateur Jamie Mulholland (owner of Ketchy Shuby and was the co-founder of The Surf Lodge), has opened in the Southampton inside the Capri Southampton hotel.

The latest project from Mulholland, Ketchy Beach is an extension of his New York City hotspot Ketchy Shuby, the beloved Soho restaurant and lounge, and offers seafood-focused dishes and bright, ingredient-forward cocktails.

The space, designed by Dimitri Hyacinthe (who also designed e Ketchy Shuby in NYC and Bijoux Lounge), transports guests to faraway island destinations guided by Southampton’s unique and coastal charm.
The Team
Ketchy Beach is founded by hospitality veteran Jamie Mulholland, who was the Co-Founder of Cain, a NYC nightlife staple with pop-ups across the country including a summertime residency at Capri Southampton; GoldBar, the upscale lounge in Nolita; and The Surf Lodge.
Food
The menu from Culinary Director and James Beard Honoree Sean Olnowich is anchored in seasonal, seafood-focused dishes as well as a variety of gluten-free and vegetarian options.
The menu begins with starters and raw bar items such as Local Stracciatella with heirloom tomatoes, blackberries, raspberries, basil water, and smoked salt; Montauk Fluke Crudo with leche de tigre, gooseberry, citrus, and pickled Fresnos; Bangs Isle Mussels with green curry, lemongrass, and ginger; Watermelon Tataki with green onions, ponzu, togarashi peppers, and ricotta salata; and Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche with mango, coconut milk, blood orange, sambal, and ginger. Larger dishes include mains and sandwiches such as Blue Crab Bucatini with charred tomato, corn, dried chilies, shellfish cream, and lemon; Miso Charred Cabbage with tahini coconut yogurt, pomegranate, fried capers, and smoked chili oil; Whole Grilled Sea Bream with capers, olives, parsley, and lemon; and a Lobster Roll with celery, green onion, and beach spice.
Cocktails
The cocktail menu, which incorporates bright and refreshing flavors, was developed by mixologist Wayne Gravesande, to complement the food menu. Highlights include Guava Jelly with Patron Silver, Chareau Liqueur, lime, guava syrup, and mint; Blue Mountain with Nelson’s Greenbrier Tennessee Whiskey, Select Apertivo, Carpano Antica, and cold brew coffee; Chronic Tonic with Fords Gin, celery syrup, lemon, and elderflower tonic; and Catch a Fire with Illegal Mezcal, pineapple, coconut liqueur, cinnamon, and lime; alongside various Sangrias.

Design + Programming
The 260-seat restaurant and poolside lounge, designed by Dimitri Hyacinthe, is adjacent to the 29-room boutique hotel. The entrance, featuring a floral archway, opens up to the bright and airy space helmed with a green herringbone bar, floral fabricated banquette seating and reclaimed wood walls filled with photography of ocean and mountain landscapes shot by New York City-based artist Lee Jaffe. Additionally, the poolside bar and cabana area offers additional seating and entertainment for guests and will host DJs and musicians from 5PM until late.

Ketchy Beach is located at the Capri Southampton. Dinner is available Wednesday through Sunday from 5pm to 10pm and brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
