Hardest Reservations Vancouver to Get (Canada) + Tips & Tricks

Here’s a look at some of the hardest reservations to get in Vancouver, BC Canada along with some tips for success (based on my own experience).

So far, these restaurants are not completely unattainable unlike trying to get a reservation for The French Laundry. Good luck!

And if any other major publication makes a post a similar to mine here, hopefully it’s because they are do their own research and not just rip off my post (which has happened in the past).

Published on Main

Published on Main, a one-star MICHELIN restaurant, serves contemporary, inventive cuisine with a play on local and sustainable ingredients.

They currently open their reservation books 60 days in advance of the month on Tock. For example, January will be released on November 1 at 12pm PST. They are NOT able to book reservations prior to the books being released.

Be sure to select either a la carte or the tasting menu experience at the time of booking. If you do not see what you are looking for, you can try adding yourself to the waitlist. You will then be notified if anything opens up.

The tasting menu reservations are harder to get than the a la carte ones. You will find more openings for the a la carte reservations.

They do keep the bar seats, with the full dining menu, open for walk-in guests so you can try your luck there.

AnnaLena

AnnaLena (review here) is another one-star MICHELIN restaurant located in Kitsilano. They are known for their contemporary Canadian fare with a pan-Asian influence.

Reservations are available 30 days in advance via Resy and it’s pretty much fully booked all the time. You will need to try to book online exactly 30 days ahead of the day you want to go.

You can subscribe to their mailing list where they announce the upcoming menus and that new reservations are live.

St. Lawrence

Located in the Railtown district of Vancouver, St. Lawrence (review here) is chef-owned and operated by Jean-Christophe Poirier who pays homage to his Quebec roots with the classic French cuisine menu.

They usually announce to those on their mailing list that reservations for the following month are open on Tock around two weeks ahead of time.

Their cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours prior to the booking date so sometimes you can find last minute openings around 48 hours ahead of time when you look at their Tock schedule.
