I recently had the pleasure of attending the Grocery and Specialty Food West (GSFW) – the *only* grocery exhibition in Western Canada. Over two days, 3,000 key stakeholders from Canada’s top retailers and producers were brought together to discuss innovation, best practices, and industry insights for the thriving $100-billion annual industry.
The trade show component of GSFW involved more than 300 booths and over 160 exhibitors, on the 65,000-sq.-ft. trade floor. As a first-year attendee, I was amazed by the number of products being showcased at the trade show.
The samples of course…were delicious! Cookies, hot dogs, cookies and ice cream (lots of it!) to name a few.
Expert judges in food and media handpicked 10 products from the New Product showcase based on uniqueness, buzz and innovation. Congratulations to all the 2016 winners!
