GRETA Bar will be opening a new brick-and-mortar location in Vancouver’s Gastown neighbourhood. Opening on April 29, Greta Bar YVR will be a new energetic spot pairing global bites with craft beer and cocktails, plus assorted arcade and bar games.
GRETA first opened their flagship location in Calgary back in 2018, and then opened their second location in Edmonton the following year.
They had intended to open their Vancouver location in 2020, but the world had other plans.
Despite the delays in recent years, they are incredibly thrilled to finally get to bring their establishment to not only BC, but to one of their favorite cities on the West Coast – Vancouver.
The idea for GRETA came from one of their founders, Chris Decock, who noticed a rising trend of arcade games in bar atmospheres.
What stood out to him was the nostalgia that this trend brought about and how it connected individuals from all walks of life.
GRETA Bar YVR will be a place where all friends are welcome and where new friendships are made.
But they’re not just all fun and games.
Thanks to an amazing food and beverage team, they’ve cultivated a menu inspired by “Global Street Food” prepared with fresh, quality ingredients (sourced locally).
From bao buns to chimichangas, the menu will incorporate flavors from around the world in their dishes.
Some of the items they offer at their Alberta locations include buttermilk dipped chicken nuggets; Jersey Mike meatball sub & fries; Egyptian Rice Bowl; Traditional Quebec Poutine and more.
GRETA Bar YVR is set to open their doors at 50 West Cordova, Vancouver on April 29.
