It was a berry fun evening last night at the wrap up party for “Go Blue on South Granville.” The 10-day event had a number of restaurants featuring local blueberries in both savoury and sweet offerings, as well as beverages.
The Rise Eatery presented a 3-course prix fixe menu during the run with proceeds supporting Mealshare.
Appetizer: “Berry Artsy”
Vegan five spiced caramelized onion & blueberry tart, plant-based bacon bits, baby arugula, tofu crème fraîche, pickled blueberries
Main: “Tortellini Outrageous”
Roasted golden beet purée stuffed blueberry tortellini, chickpea ricotta, parsnip & beet chips, blueberry soy balsamic glaze
Dessert: “The Magic Dragon”
White chocolate mousse filled craquelin puff, limoncello maceraded blueberries, mint meringue
