7-Eleven Canada brings back Free Slurpee Day on July 11, offering complimentary frozen drinks at stores across the country. This annual summer tradition marks the retailer’s name day and comes with seasonal food deals and beverage offers leading up to and following the giveaway.

In the days before and after July 11, Canadians can find $2 beverage specials and $1 chicken wings available at participating 7-Eleven Canada locations. Further promotions are available through the 7Rewards program, including $0.71 wings on 7-Eleven Day, $0.89 wings on Wednesdays and Saturdays, BOGO cookies and $2 ice cream sandwiches on Thursdays, and a $3.99 Crispy Classic Chicken combo on Fridays.
While sipping Slurpee, customers across provinces are pairing their drinks with different savoury favourites. Alberta, BC and Manitoba lean toward the Taquito Monterey Chicken, Ontario pairs Slurpee with the Taquito Beef Taco & Cheese, and Saskatchewan prefers Potato Wedges and Chicken Wings.
The summer event also includes a charitable component. Until August 26, guests can round up their purchases to the nearest dollar to donate to the Children’s Miracle Network. All donations directly support local children’s hospital foundations.
Slurpee has long been part of Canadian pop culture. The first one was served in Calgary in 1969. Winnipeg remains the Slurpee capital of the world, where locals are known to greet arriving visitors at the airport with a cup of the frozen drink.
