Following last year’s ground-breaking inaugural year, the Gateway Theatre is thrilled to bring back the Gateway Theatre Pacific Festival, showcasing the best contemporary theatre Hong Kong has to offer.
Fellow foodies would be interested in Cook Your Life, which stars MayMay Chan in a hilarious solo performance, cooking live on stage as she draws insightful parallels between food and love. The show incorporates a 4-D theatre approach where the audience can see, hear, smell, and taste the experience! Cook Your Life is in Cantonese with English surtitles.
“Cook Your Life is a brave new show where audiences don’t just sit and watch, but actively interact with the concept of ‘love’. MayMay produces a revolutionary piece of theatre for women and contemplates love in a whole new way.” – King@C AllStar
May is also a seasoned cook herself, with her own cooking channel in Hong Kong. Check out this Youtube video:
Cook Your Life is also part of a double bill with MeChat, which stars rising Hong Kong theatre and television star Eric Tang and explores the delightful and not so delightful aspects of the Internet. Both shows are produced by Bravo Theatre and co-produced by Take It Easy Theatre.
