New at Belgard Kitchen is their all-day Monday Happy Hour with a selection of tasty food and drink deals.
Happy Hour features include beer and wine from Settlement Brewing and Vancouver Urban Winery, priced at $6 for a pint or 5oz glass. Some recommendations are Settlement’s ‘Tranquilo’ Lime Lager (craft beer’s retort to Bud Light Lime) or VUW’s Reliance White, a premium white blend of Pinot Blanc and Muller Thurgau. There is also the “Grape Expectations” wine flight, a Belgard signature and Instagram favourite.
For bites, there is the iconic Mushroom + Bacon Pâté featuring ingredients from local suppliers Two Rivers Specialty Meats, Oyster & King Specialty Organic Mushrooms, and Granville Island’s A Bread Affair.
Some larger snacks are the Belgard Burger or Roasted Mushroom or Double Duck pizzette (fun fact: the house flatbread sourdough has been made using the same starter since opening Day One over six years ago).
I was invited to try their Monday Happy Hour and had a great time enjoying the Settlement Brewing Draught, “Boost” smoothie (new on the menu and really good), Mushroom + Bacon Pâté, and Double Duck Pizzette.
In addition to Mondays, Belgard’s Happy Hour is offered Tuesday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm and Sunday through Thursday from 9pm to close.
