Starbucks Canada has introduced a festive new twist to its holiday menu with the launch of its first-ever holiday Starbucks Refreshers. Guests can enjoy three new Cran-Merry Orange drinks that bring cranberries to the forefront of the season. Inspired by the vibrant red of cranberries and the festive spirit of the holidays, these beverages are set to be a seasonal favourite.
Cran-Merry Orange Refreshers
The Cran-Merry Orange Refresher, Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher, and Cran-Merry Drink combine sweet orange and tart cranberry with warm spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg. All three drinks are infused with green coffee extract made from 100% arabica beans, offering a light energy boost while evoking the comfort and richness of the season.
The Cran-Merry Orange Refresher features the crisp combination of cranberry and orange, shaken with ice and cold water, and garnished with fresh cranberry slices.
For those who prefer a bit more tang, the Cran-Merry Orange Lemonade Refresher adds a refreshing twist by replacing cold water with lemonade.
The Cran-Merry Drink offers a tropical variation, featuring the same cranberry-orange blend but with a creamy coconut beverage for a rich texture.
A Sensory Experience
These holiday drinks were created with a focus on a sensorial experience, according to Billy Altieri, Starbucks’ lead beverage developer. “We wanted to create a drink that brought all of those sensory elements together in a cup,” Altieri explains. The deep red hue of the beverages and the addition of sliced cranberries enhance the festive atmosphere, making these drinks visually striking and evocative of the season’s warmth.
For those who want to elevate their Cran-Merry beverages, Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam is a popular addition, adding a creamy, decadent layer to each drink.
