Tom Sushi is one of my favourite neighbourhood spots for quality sushi at reasonable prices. The service is friendly and efficiently and the food is expertly prepared. They don’t take reservations so there might be a bit of a wait at meal times. Here is what we tried on our last visit:
Premium Sashimi $94
Amaebi, toro, shima aji, akami, chutoro, ootoro, salmon belly with ikura, uni, hotate, prawn
The platter was beautifully presented with expertly sliced sashimi that was good quality and at the right temperature.
Agedashi Tofu $6
Served hot with a crispy exterior and a tender tofu on the inside.
Dungeness Cali Roll $12
Real crab meat, kappa, avocado, tobiko
Assorted tempura $14
Squash, yam, zucchini, ebi
I enjoyed the crispy panko breading on the outside.
I would recommend Tom Sushi as one of the best casual sushi spots in Vancouver.
