Braun Household has introduced their OptiBrew coffee maker line in Canada, with two models offering hot coffee, coffee over ice and cold brew using ground coffee. OptiBrew is priced at $199.95 CAD, and OptiBrew Pro costs $249.95 CAD, adding a concentrated Coffee Shot setting and an integrated milk frother.
Both drip coffee makers offer seven brew sizes, from a single 236 mL cup to a full 12-cup carafe. The pod-free format lets users adjust the serving size without changing how they buy their coffee.
OptiBrew features four brew styles, Regular, Bold, Over Ice and Cold Brew. According to Braun, the machines prepare cold brew in minutes and can brew a full carafe in under eight minutes.
Braun’s ExactBrew technology automatically calibrates brewing time and temperature to help optimise flavour extraction. The system supports the range of serving sizes, whether preparing one cup before work or a pot to share.
OptiBrew Pro adds Coffee Shot as a fifth brew style. This setting produces concentrated coffee for latte- and cappuccino-style drinks, giving users another way to prepare their usual ground coffee.
The Pro model’s integrated whisk froths hot or cold milk and milk alternatives. The combination of concentrated coffee and milk foam expands the drink options without requiring a separate frother. OptiBrew Pro has a stainless steel finish.
Both machines measure 17.1 centimetres wide and include a programmable 24-hour timer. A keep-warm function maintains the carafe’s temperature for up to four hours.
The $50 difference between the models covers the Pro’s additional Coffee Shot setting and milk-frothing capability. The standard OptiBrew retains the seven serving sizes and four core brew styles.
OptiBrew is available through Braun Household for $199.95 CAD. OptiBrew Pro is available through Braun Household and Amazon Canada for $249.95 CAD.
