El Lío is a must-try pop-up tapas wine bar that is currently running every Friday in Downtown Vancouver (BC Canada). The concept is operating out of Nemesis Coffee Gastown location at 302 West Hastings.

About El Lío
The culinary team at El Lío is led by very talented Chefs Mieyle Mitchell and Lina Serrano. They are offering a menu of small plates with Latin, West Coast and Asian influences.

The wine list features mainly a selection of BC varieties along with some Spanish, Italian and Californian ones. You’ll also find beer and some zero-proof options.

What We Tried

We enjoyed the Kalala Organic Estate Winery (Kelowna BC) Zweigelt; Criante (Sicily, Italy) Perricone as well as the Farming Karma Musing Mojito which went well with the delicious food.

My favourites of the evening were the Pan de Yuca; Pork Belly Bao; Gyoza; Ceviche; and Tres Leches. The dishes had a lot of vibrant, bold flavours and were nicely presented. The beverages went well with the small plates. I also enjoyed the cozy, comfortable environment which makes for a perfect date night or gathering with friends.
Check out El Lío at 302 West Hastings every Friday this summer from 5:30 pm – 11 pm.
