In Italy, the bustling core of the community is the town plaza, which is surrounded by quaint trattorias, bars, and mercatos. It’s where neighbours catch up, where dinner items are picked up on the way home, and where family and friends share simple, wonderful meals. Casa Mia Neighbourhood Cucina & Mercato, which will open at 2215 Marine Dr. this spring, will bring the essence of the Italian town plaza to West Vancouver.
Casa Mia was created by the same team that brought Vancouver to Italian bakery-caffè Sciué in 2005.
The new neighbourhood eatery will provide flavorful dishes for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and supper, featuring housemade pastas and rustic pizzas inspired by popular areas of Italy, in addition to Italian espresso beverages and fresh-baked breads and pastries.
A selected collection of appetizers and aperitivo will be available during happy hour, while velvety gelatos will be available at any time; and for those cooking at home, a variety of ingredients and things created in-house or imported from Italy may be picked up to go.
Everyone is welcome to Casa Mia, where they will find the familiar warmth of a communal meeting space that seems like an extension of their own homes.
