3 Quarters Full Cafe is a Taiwanese cafe that has been around for almost two years now in the West End. It had been a while since my last visit (see post here) and since then they have expanded their menu to include more selections of cakes. It’s always hard to decide which to have considering all the delicious options, so I decided to try a variety of their cake offerings. I put in a pickup order from 3 Quarters Full Cafe via foodora. Here’s a look at what I got.
Disclosure: I have a media partnership with foodora. All food in this post was complimentary.
What I Tried
My foodora order consisted of
- Taro Mille Crepe Cake ($13)
- Original Naidong Roll Cake with Strawberry ($7.50)
- Fresh Taro Square Cake ($9.50)
- Uji Matcha Mousse Cake ($9.95)
- Japanese Cheesecake ($7.50)
In general, all the cakes were really delicious, moist, light, fluffy and not overly sweet. The Naidong Cake and Japanese Cheesecake are both ones I’ve tried from them before and they tasted just as good as I remember. I was quite impressed with the high-quality matcha that was used for the Uji Matcha Mousse Cake; the matcha tasted authentic with a slightly bitter aftertaste. The Mille Crepe Cake was also very good. 3 Quarter Full Cafe’s version had more crepe than cream which I prefer as a cake with more cream seems “cheaper.” The Taro Square Cake had a very nice taro flavour and a nice, spongy texture.
My personal favourite would have to be the Japanese Cheesecake but all the cakes I tried were well made and satisfying. For the ease of ordering online for pickup or delivery, foodora is the way to go.
