Aboyer

Chef Michael Lachowicz at Aboyer (Winnetka) has put together a decadent and inspired French Bistro menu for the occasion. The three-course prix fixe menu available on Tuesday, February 14^th includes a selection of indulgent appetizer, entrée and dessert options, along with an amuse bouche. pre-entrée housemade sorbet to cleanse the palette, and housemade chocolate truffles to end the meal. Diners will enjoy elegant preparations like Seared Medallion of Foie Gras with Duck & Foie Gras Strudel, Caramelized Apples, and Apple Gastrique, Duo of Roasted with Foie Gras Stuffed Quail & Saddle of New Zealand Venison,

Duck Fat Brussels Sprouts Leaves, and Sauce Myrllties, and White Chocolate Raspberry Bombe with Chambord Crème Anglaise.

The Valentine’s Day offer from Aboyer is priced at $135 per person and reservations are now available.

Geja’s Cafe

As one of the most romantic restaurants in Chicago and an enduring favorite on our city’s dining scene for nearly 58 years, Geja’s Café takes their beloved fondue experience to new heights for Valentine’s Day with a month’s worth of romantic ambiances and two very special offers offers. By February 5^th, guests can expect Geja’s to be classically and abundantly decorated for the occasion. Geja’s one-of-a-kind romantic atmosphere gets the Valentine’s treatment with their signature style, perfect for any romantic visit during the month of February.

Next is Geja’s legendary Celebration of Marriage. On Monday, February 6^th, married couples are encouraged to dine at Geja’s for a tradition that’s been going on since the 90’s. Married couples will receive 1% of their bill for every year they’ve been married. 40 years? 40%! There are couples that have been going to Geja’s for this sentimental celebration for decades, along with those who are recently married and have just started the tradition.

Finally, Geja’s will be hosting three romantic seatings for Valentine’s Day dining on Tuesday, February 14^th. Reservations are now available for seatings at 4 p.m., 6:30 p.m., and 9 p.m. $100 per person includes all three premier courses from Geja’s – their incredible Swiss Gruyere fondue, Main fondue (beef, lobster, and shrimp), and their always-decadent Belgium Chocolate fondue with all the fixings. Hinoki Sushiko

The twice-Michelin-recognized outpost near Lincoln Yards knows that sushi is where the heart is! Their elegant heart-shaped premium sushi platter is filled with the most luxurious selection of Bluefin (Akami, Chutoro, and Otoro), Caviar, Uni, Dragofire rolls (shrimp tempura/baked salmon and escolar/spicy mayo/eel sauce/red and black tobiko/scallions), and Avocado Cucumber roll topped with whisky marinated Ikura. The platter will be offered as an add on to their nightly menu on Tuesday, February 14^th, and it’s certainly the perfect way to say “I love you” to the sushi-lover in your life! They will also offer a special Hibiscus Heart cocktail (Lychee puree, hibiscus reduction, haku vodka, champagne top) along with an n/a version of the drink. Sushi Hoshi

The beloved Pilsen sushi outpost – which isn’t normally open on Tuesdays – is opening for Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, February 14^th, offering a sushi dinner for two for $50, which includes 2 drinks per person (choice of beer/wine/or “love potion” cocktail (grapefruit, peach snchapps, choice of vodka or mezcal). Additionally, they are doing their own take on the Sushi Heart, which can be tailored with your choice of three specialty rolls and 2 favorite rolls from the Sushi Hoshi menu, available for $40. Sofitel Chicago

Sofitel Chicago is offering a Valentine’s Day romantic prix-fixe menu. Priced at $85 per person. Available February 10 – 14.

Big Delicious Planet

Big Delicious Planet is offering a Valentine’s Day Chicago 2023 prix-fixe tasting dinner menu on February 14 from 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm. Priced at $150+ per person. With cocktails and a trio of plated appetizers, followed by a salad course, a choice of the main entrée, and a trio of desserts. Dinner ticket includes beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. Please note that tickets are priced by choice of entrée. Beef Tenderloin and Seared Scallop selections will be an additional $10 per ticket. There will be no additional charge for the Roasted Wild Mushroom Risotto.

This event takes place indoors in our lovely, airy dining room, which will be expertly styled by our event producers. Tickets are non-refundable. This is a communal dining experience for people who love to eat. We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and pork-free diets, as well as shellfish and nut allergies.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at VELE (Springfield). They will be serving your favorites alongside some specials for the night.

Looking to elevate your Valentine’s evening? Surprise your guest with a bottle of Champagne and/or a beautiful bouquet of roses. Simply add these items to your your reservation and we will have them at your table upon arrival. Flowers must be ordered by Sunday, February 12th at midnight. Any orders placed after this time will not be fulfilled. If you missed this note, a refund will be given, but will take 3-4 business days.

The new CheSa’s Bistro & Bar is celebrating true love with a special 3-course prix fixe Creole and Cajun Valentine’s menu that will be available Tuesday February 14 through Thursday, February 16. The price is $59 per person excluding tax, gratuity, and beverage. Everything is delicious and 100 percent gluten-free.

For starters, choose from a Lobster Louis Salad (Iceberg Lettuce, Egg & Avocado Remoulade),or Garlic Alligator Dip (5 Cheese Dip with Spinach and Alligator), or Fried Green Tomatoes (with House Aioli), or CheSa’s Devil Egg (with Fried Shrimp Bites).

The Main Course options are Lobster Etouffee (authentic Cajun Comfort dish with lobster), or Crispy Skin Salmon (with Orange Braised Sweet Potato), or Roasted Half Chicken (with black-eyed peas), or Bella Mushroom (Creamy Truffle Risotto topped with Bella Mushrooms).

Dessert is the decadent finale. Choose between Banana Pudding Souffle, Triple Chocolate Cake, or CheSa’s Chocolate Mousse.

Prairie Grass Cafe (Northbrook) is open on February 14 and offering three tasty options for lovers and families to celebrate Valentine’s weekend. Valentine’s Day is always a special way to show your significant other and family a little extra love.

In Mexico, Valentine’s Day is also celebrated on February 14 but is officially titled El Día del Amor y la Amistad (The Day of Love and Friendship). That means that if you want to celebrate like a Mexican, you shouldn’t focus all your attention on your beloved, but rather on your friends and family, too.

Tacos Guanajuato (Tacos G) in Kildeer (20771 N. Rand Rd., Kildeer, 847-847-1056) and Guanajuato Restaurant & Tequila Bar in Winnetka (1005 Green Bay Rd., Winnetka, 847-242-0501 are always up for a party and both restaurants will be celebrating with loving Valentine’s specials beginning Friday, February 10.

Tacos G, a hidden gem that has attracted a large local following, will be offering Valentine specials alongside its regular menu starting Friday, February 10 through Tuesday, February 14—except for Sunday when Tacos G is closed. Guests will enjoy a special Valentine’s Spicy Strawberry Margarita and Heart Shaped Churros. Hours are 11 AM – 8 PM.

Guanajuato Restaurant & Tequila Bar, a Northshore favorite, is featuring a special cocktail – Passion Bubble Margarita, love potion with strawberry and raspberry, champagne, tequila, orange liquor and “lots and lots of love.” In addition to Guanajuato’s special heart shaped churros, it offers rich gluten-free flourless brownies and other yummy house-made desserts. The Valentine’s celebration starts Friday, February 10 and runs through Tuesday, February 14—except for Monday as the restaurant is closed. Hours are: 4-9 pm Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and 4-10 pm Friday and Saturday.
