If you’re looking for a unique brunch experience, the Jungle Room in Downtown Vancouver is a great place to check out.
They are touted as “Vancouver’s first jungle-inspired cocktail lounge.”
Their menu takes you on an exciting journey of elevated Indonesian and Japanese street food.
Their brunch takes place Saturdays & Sundays with items that range from classic brunch to more unique choices like Matcha French Toast and Pork Rendang Benedicts.
We visited them for brunch and tried the following:
First was the Pork Rendang with 2 poached eggs, coconut braised pork and served with crispy potatoes & english muffin with blood orange hollandaise sauce. It was flavourful, tasty and a nice spin on brunch benedict dish
Next was the Nasi Goreng Indonesian fried rice with sunny side up egg and house-made Sambal. We added a confit pork belly which made it even more satisfying.
For the brunch cocktail, we had the Kev’s Espresso Martini featuring Ketel One vodka and 40 Creek cream.
And I also enjoyed the cold-pressed organic orange juice.
The interior features a moody mix of nuanced themed materials, decor and plant life for an aesthetic that is both sophisticated and playful.
I enjoyed the brunch experience at The Jungle Room and would recommend it!
The Jungle Room is located at 61 Denman St, Vancouver.
