Is it worth trying?
Yes! We thought the flavours of the Trader Joe’s Boba Kit were legit. The products and the ingredients were made in Taiwan, which is where boba originated.
The instructions were easy to follow and it really does take just about a couple of minutes to put it together.

The tapioca pearls were acceptably soft and chewy.
We were able to count 58 tapioca pearls in one of the packages which seems like a decent number of pearls.

The sweetness level was regular in our opinion.
And the great part of making it at home is that you can customize however you like including ice/no ice and whatever milk or plant-based alternative you want.

If you want more sweetness or even more boba, you can incorporate two packages (or more!) into your drink.
The pricing was good as well for what you get.
Overall, the Trader Joe’s Instant Boba Kit was easy, tasty and an affordable to satisfy your boba craving.
