For a delicious and fun high tea experience in a relaxed and charming setting, look no further than Tracycakes Bakery. Tracycakes has been around for 10 years now and is well-known for their signature cupcakes, homemade lunch items, and high tea service. With two locations in Abbotsford and Langley, Tracycakes is the kind of place where you want to go for a girlfriend get-together, to spend time with grand-ma, or to have a delicious tea and pastry just by yourself. I was recently invited to try the High Tea for 2 at Tracycakes in Abbotsford.

Historic Downtown Abbotsford
Tracycake’s Abbotsford location is on Montrose Avenue in the historic Downtown area. The vintage-inspired interior decor makes the cafe a cozy and comfortable place to enjoy food and drinks.
High Tea for 2
Tracycakes offers a few different high tea options including Signature High Tea, Champagne High Tea, Gluten-Free High Tea, and Children’s High Tea. In general, the Signature High Tea is priced at $18.50 per person and features assorted finger sandwiches, mini quiches, freshly baked scones, house-made Devonshire cream, artisanal preserves, dainties, babycakes, seasonal sliced fresh fruit and choice of loose leaf teas or Artisan roasted coffees.
The top layer of our three-tier high tea set consisted of the sweets: babycakes, brownies, mini apple tarts, shortbread cookies, and orange slices. The babycakes were beautifully decorated mini cupcakes with buttercream icing on top. Brownies were nicely moist and had an amazing chocolately flavour. I loved the shortbread cookies which were soft and had a crumbly texture that just melts in your mouth.
The cranberry scones were scrumptious and were wonderfully light, airy and crumbly.
The bottom tier consisted of the savoury items: crustless finger sandwiches, biscuits and quiches. The bread used for the sandwiches was very light and fluffy. My favourite sandwich was the egg, cream cheese and cucumber sandwich which was very refreshing.
Overall Impression of Tracycakes Bakery Cafe
I thought that Tracycakes offered a delicious selection of quality items for their High Tea at a very reasonable price. If you are planning to visit the Fraser Valley sometime, I would recommend stopping by one of Tracycakes locations for some tasty treats.
