Tim Hortons Protein Coffee: A New Way to Get Your Caffeine Fix

Tim Hortons has introduced a new lineup of Protein Coffee which blends coffee with a high-protein Canadian dairy, offering a convenient way to get both caffeine and protein in one cup. This is a unique move for Tim Hortons, blending coffee culture with the growing demand for protein-enriched beverages.

  • Protein Vanilla Iced Latte (16g of protein per medium size) – $4.99

Each drink is made with a high-protein dairy base, making it a convenient choice for those looking to add more protein to their diet while enjoying their usual coffee.

The Canadian dairy brand that is used is Dairyland which offers 18 g of protein per 250 mL serving. It has 2 times more protein than regular milk; contains 9 essential nutrients; and is lactose free.

These drinks could appeal to those who want to incorporate more protein into their routine without resorting to traditional shakes or bars. Whether you’re someone who hits the gym before work, needs a more filling coffee option, or just enjoys trying new drinks, this lineup offers an interesting alternative to standard lattes and cappuccinos.

Review

I tried all three Protein Coffee drinks—Protein Latte, Protein Vanilla Iced Latte, and Protein Cappuccino—and really enjoyed them. The added protein was a nice touch, making these a satisfying option for a boost of both caffeine and protein.

The Protein Latte had a nice, smooth texture. The Protein Vanilla Iced Latte was slightly sweeter, with a well-balanced vanilla flavour that complemented the coffee without being overpowering. The Protein Cappuccino had a nice frothy top, delivering a bold coffee taste with a hint of creaminess.

Price and Availability

The Protein Coffee drinks are $0.80 more in the medium size version compared to the regular versions.

While Tim Hortons hasn’t specified whether these are a permanent addition or a limited-time offering, they are available now at participating locations.
