Subway Canada is introducing their new Fresh Fit Menu for 2026, a lineup of five protein-packed sandwiches designed for Canadians looking for convenient meals with higher protein and lower calories. Available now at locations nationwide, each 6-inch sandwich delivers at least 21 g of protein and comes in under 500 calories.
The Fresh Fit Menu focuses on pre-set sandwiches built on multigrain bread and made fresh to order. Each sandwich includes a protein-forward filling, Canadian cheddar cheese, and classic vegetables, positioning the menu as a streamlined option for guests who want consistency and nutritional clarity without customization decisions.
The lineup includes Fresh Fit Rotisserie-Style Chicken, which delivers 30 g of protein with rotisserie-style chicken, cheddar cheese, vegetables, and mayo. Fresh Fit Turkey offers 21 g of protein with sliced turkey breast, cheddar, vegetables, and mayo. Fresh Fit Sweet Onion Teriyaki brings 28 g of protein through teriyaki-glazed chicken strips, cheddar, vegetables, and sweet onion teriyaki sauce. Fresh Fit Steak & Cheese provides 26 g of protein with shaved steak, cheddar, vegetables, and chipotle sauce. Fresh Fit Tuna rounds out the menu with 24 g of protein, featuring wild-caught tuna mixed with mayo, cheddar, and vegetables.
The launch reflects growing interest in protein-forward meals across Canada. A survey conducted by Subway Canada and The Harris Poll found that two out of three Canadians plan to increase their protein intake in 2026, while cost and convenience remain common barriers. The Fresh Fit Menu aims to address both factors by offering standardized sandwiches with defined nutritional targets.
The menu was developed by Chef John Botelho, Culinary Manager at Subway Canada, with an emphasis on everyday meals that balance flavour, protein, and accessibility. The Fresh Fit sandwiches are positioned as options for workdays, active schedules, and quick meals without exceeding calorie goals.
The Fresh Fit Menu is available now across Canada through Subway restaurants, the Subway app, and online ordering.
